Copyright is an important part of the creative process in education. As a matter of fact, Educators are arguably the largest group of creators in The Bahamas, with a workforce of almost 3,000 teachers and hundreds of educational professionals. When one factors in students, and other members of the public, it is clear that from architects, to visual artists, writers, choreographers, performers of all types and more, Bahamians are creative. How do we ensure that ownership and use of creative material is correctly used and attributed while meeting or exceeding international standards? Well, first, we must know the Basics.
