Course Description:
Introduction to Inclusive Media for Education is a self-paced short course designed to familiarize educators who create digital media content with best practices which can enhance the accessibility of digital content to learners in The Bahamas.
The course addresses the need for accessible content and simplifies the common mistakes made in a number of areas. Those areas include design and layout, color and contrast, visual capture and audio production in multimedia. Accessibility issues are seen across digital content like worksheets, videos, slide presentations, audio recordings, etc., all of which can create barriers to learning especially for the disabled.
While not exhaustive, Introduction to Inclusive Media for Education is the first step in creating media that is indigenous, intentional, inclusive and accessible for all learners.
